Argus Information and Advisory Services, and its related affiliates, respect your concerns about privacy. This Online Privacy Notice applies to personal information we collect on www.argusinformation.com (the “Site”). The Online Privacy Notice describes the types of personal information we obtain, how we use the information, with whom we share it, and the choices you can make about our use of the information. We also describe the measures we take to protect the security of the information and how you can contact us about our privacy practices.

You may choose to provide personal information including, such as your first and last name, physical address, e-mail address, or telephone number through the Site. Here are ways you may provide the information and the types of information you may submit. We also describe how we may use the information you provide to us.

Information We Obtain

You may contact us by sending an e-mail. You may send us an e-mail to submit a request, respond to an e-mail, ask a question, inquire about a job, or make a comment.  We will use the e-mail address provided to respond to your inquiry.

Other Uses of Information

In addition to the uses discussed above, we also may use the personal information you provide on our Site to operate, evaluate, and improve our website.  In the future we may offer visitors to our Site various features, which we may change from time to time.  We may ask you to submit certain personal information so we can provide you with those features.

Information We Obtain by Automated Means

When you visit our Site, we may collect certain information by automated means, using technologies such as cookies. We use cookies to obtain information about the preferences of our visitors and the services they select. “Do Not Track” Signals

Like many other websites and online services, we do not currently process or respond to “Do Not Track” signals from your browser or to other mechanisms that enable choice. Information We Share

We do not sell or otherwise disclose personal data that you provide to us or that we collect on our Site, except as described here. We may share personal data you provide to us or that we collect on the Site with service providers that perform services on our behalf.

  • To request confirmation of whether we process personal data relating to you, and if so, to request a copy of that personal data;
  • To request that we rectify or update your personal data that is inaccurate, incomplete or outdated.
  • To request that we erase your personal data in certain circumstances, such as where we collected personal data on the basis of your consent and you withdraw your consent;
  • To request that we restrict the use of your personal data in certain circumstances, such as while we consider another request that you have submitted, for example a request that we update your personal data;
  • Where you have given us consent to process your personal data, to withdraw your consent; and
  • To request that we stop processing your personal data for any reason unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds overriding your interests; and
  • To request that we provide a copy of your personal data to you in a structured, commonly used and machine readable format in certain circumstances.

Data Transfer

We may transfer the personal information we collect about you to recipients in countries other than the country in which the information originally was collected. Those countries may not have the same data protection laws as the country in which you initially provided the information. When we transfer your information to recipients in other countries (such as the U.S.), we will protect that information as described in this Privacy Notice.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (“EEA”) or UK, we will comply with applicable legal requirements providing adequate protection for the transfer of personal information to recipients in countries outside of the EEA and UK. Argus complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework (Privacy Shield) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union and the United Kingdom as applicable to the United States in reliance on Privacy Shield.  Argus has certified to the Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles with respect to such information.  If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern.  To learn more about the Privacy Shield program, and to view our certification, please visit https://www.privacyshield.gov/.

We may update our Online Privacy Notice periodically and without prior notice to you to reflect changes in our personal information practices or relevant laws. We will post the updated version on this page and indicate at the top of the notice when it was most recently updated.

How Long We Keep Information

The time period for which we keep personal data depends on the purpose for which we collected it. In all cases we keep it for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which we collected it. We will then delete the personal data, unless we are legally required to retain it or if we need to retain it in order to comply with our legal obligations (for example, for tax and accounting purposes).
